Telecom

Five Star Quality Care, Inc. (Five Star), incorporated in April 2000, operates senior living communities, including independent living communities, assisted living communities and skilled nursing facilities (SNFs). As of December 31, 2011, the Company operated 245 senior living communities located in 30 states containing 27,159 living units, including 207 primarily independent and assisted living communities with 23,736 living units and 38 SNFs with 3,423 living units. The Company owns and operates 31 communities (2,954 living units), lease and operate 191 communities (20,811 living units), and manage 23 communities (3,394 living units). Its 245 senior living communities included 8,699 independent living apartments, 13,069 assisted living suites and 5,391 skilled nursing units. During the year ended December 31, 2011, the Company discontinued its operations on two SNFs owned and operated by it containing 271 living units and one assisted living community leased from Senior Housing Properties Trust (SNH) and operated by it containing 103 living units. Independent Living Communities
Independent living communities provide privacy to residents and require residents to be capable of independence. An independent living apartment usually bundles several services as part of a regular monthly charge. In addition, services are available from staff employees on a fee for service basis. As of December 31, 2011, its business included 8,699 independent living apartments in 75 communities that it operated or managed.
Assisted Living Communities
Assisted living communities consists of one bedroom units which include private bathrooms and kitchens. Services bundled within one charge usually include three meals per day in a central dining room, daily housekeeping, laundry, medical reminders and around the clock availability of assistance with the activities of daily living such as dressing and bathing. Professional nursing and healthcare services are usually available at the community as requested or at regularly scheduled times. As of December 31, 2011, its business included 13,069 assisted living suites in 185 communities that it operated or managed. .
Skilled Nursing Facilities
SNFs provide nursing and healthcare services similar to those available in hospitals. A purpose built SNF includes one or two beds per room with a separate bathroom in each room and shared dining facilities. SNFs are staffed by licensed nursing professionals 24 hours per day. As of December 31, 2011, its business included 5,391 skilled nursing units in 69 communities.
Rehabilitation Hospitals
Rehabilitation hospitals, which are also known as inpatient rehabilitation facilities (IRFs), provide intensive physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language pathology services. Patients in IRFs receive a mi! nimum of ! three hours of rehabilitation services daily. IRFs also provides radiology, laboratory, telemetry, hemodialysis and orthotics/prosthetics services. Outpatient satellite clinics are often included as part of the services offered by IRFs. As of December 31, 2011, its two rehabilitation hospitals had 321 beds available for inpatient services and provided rehabilitation services at the two hospitals and three satellite locations. In addition, it operates 13 outpatient clinics affiliated with its rehabilitation hospitals where patients discharged from hospitals can continue their therapy programs and receive amputee, brain injury, neurorehabilitation, cardio-pulmonary, orthopedic, spinal cord injury and stroke rehabilitation services.
Institutional Pharmacies
Institutional pharmacies provide drugs at locations where patients with recurring pharmacy requirements are concentrated. The Company�� five institutional pharmacies are located in six leased commercial spaces and one owned commercial building containing a total of approximately 67,759 square feet plus parking areas for its employees and delivery vehicles.

Monday -- New Energy for the New Week: The new trading week kicks off with FuelCell Energy (FCEL) reporting. The builder of fuel cell power plants reports its latest quarterly results after the market closes on Monday. It's been 10 years since FuelCell completed its first commercial fuel cell plant installation. Business is starting to pick up, as it has as many orders over the past two years combined as it did during the eight previous years combined. Revenue should continue to grow as FuelCell grows closer to profitability. Tuesday -- Lone Wolf: Disney's (DIS) "The Lone Ranger" was a flop earlier this year. It failed to break $90 million in domestic box office receipts, and the $260 million it amassed in gross ticket sales worldwide wasn't enough to offset its massive production budget and cinematic distribution. Disney had fared well with Johnny Depp and director Gore Verbinski before. The two teamed up for the blockbuster success of Disney's "The Pirates of the Caribbean" movie series. It convinced a jaded audience to return to the local multiplex for a movie about swashbucklers. But it couldn't revive the Western genre this time around. Despite being a box office bomb, "The Lone Ranger" will get a chance at new life in the home market. It comes out on Blu-ray and DVD on Tuesday. There were plenty of winners and losers this week, as the leading premium coffeehouse chain expanded its carbonated beverage offerings, and a disruptive video-streaming service got disrupted itself. Here's a rundown of the week's best and worst. GoPro (GPRO) -- Winner The initial public offering market got some fresh meat on Thursday when GoPro went public. The company behind the popular namesake cameras that extreme sports enthusiast like to wear was a hit. It priced at $24 a share -- at the high end of its initial range -- and that still wasn't enough. The stock opened at $28.65, closing out its first day of trading with a 31 percent gain. GoPro's growth has been stellar. Sales soared 87 percent last year to nearly hit $1 billion. However, there was a surprising decline in revenue during this year's first quarter. New GoPro investors are assuming that the most recent quarter's dip was a fluke. If it isn't a fluke, they can record their stumble in glorious high-def. Aereo -- Loser Sometimes it's the disruptor that gets disrupted. Aereo, the start-up service that offers local TV channels as a streaming platform, was pummeled by the U.S. Supreme Court. In a 6-3 decision, the court ruled that Aereo violated the copyrights of major TV networks by streaming their content without paying transmission fees. The move isn't the end for Aereo, but its prognosis has clearly deteriorated. Aereo thought that incorporating tiny remote antennas that subscribers can access online was similar enough to actual HD antenna ownership by individuals that its business model would be found to be legal. That didn't pan out, and consumers are unlikely to get a break this way from their ever-increasing cable and satellite TV bills. Chronic infection with Helicobacter pylori irritates the mucosal lining of the stomach and small intestine.

RHB-106, is a tablet for the preparation and cleansing of the gastrointestinal tract prior to the performance of abdominal procedures. Its abdominal procedures include diagnostic tests, such as colonoscopy, barium enema or virtual colonoscopy, as well as surgical interventions, such as laparotomy.

I always find it very interesting to see what long-term investors are selling in a given quarter. Kahn Brothers lightened up on many financials that have shot up and now trade above book value. The firm sold out of Flushing Financial (FFIC), TCF Financial (TCB) and Dime Community Bank (DCOM). Khan apparently shares my views on the large-cap drug stocks, easing up on both Pfizer (PFE) and Bristol Meyers (BMY) over the summer. Khan Brothers also sold the last of the Travelers shares (TRV) it has owned since 2008 at more than twice the purchase price.

The iShares MSCI Emerging Markets Index (NYSE: EEM) seems to have halted its slide.� The index bottomed out year-to-date on February 3, when it was down 11.2 percent. Since then, it has gained 1.5 percent, but bargains in the emerging markets still abound.
As I discussed in �� Plan, Not a Panic��two weeks ago, emerging markets are in much better economic shape today than they were even just a few years ago, much less during the currency crisis that peaked in 1998. Foreign exchange reserves are generally much more robust, budget deficits are narrower if they exist at all and, so far at least, the full-blown currency war that many were predicting last year isn�� likely to breakout.
With rationality finally setting in, this is a terrific time to do a little bargain hunting in the emerging markets.
The most obvious play here is the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets Index itself. Covering China (18.8 percent of assets), South Korea (16 percent), Taiwan (12 percent) and Brazil (10.2 percent) with smaller positions spanning Asia and Europe, the fund is most exposed to any shift in sentiment.
The fund is currently trading at just 10.2 times forward one-year earnings, well below its average of about 18 times over the past two decades. On a price-to-sales basis it is even more attractive valued at just 1.03 times; the last time the index was this cheap on a sales basis was early 2009.
So while there are always dangers in trying to call a bottom to any market move, valuations alone are attractive enough to start pulling bargain hunters back in.
A broadly diversified play on an emerging market turnaround, iShares MSCI Emerging Markets Index is a great buy up to 45, which leaves plenty of room to run back to the average.
For those who can tolerate a bit more risk, you can also drill down and make more country-specific bets.
At this point my favorite would be iShares MSCI South Korea Index Fund (NYSE: EWY).

U.S. Iron Ore and Eastern Canadian Iron Ore
The Company is a global iron ore producer, primarily selling production from U.S. Iron Ore to integrated steel companies in the United States and Canada, and production from Eastern Canadian Iron Ore to the seaborne market for Asian steel producers. The Company manages and operates five iron ore mines located in Michigan and Minnesota and two iron ore mines in Eastern Canada. As of December 31, 2011, the United States-based mines and one of the mines in Eastern Canada had an annual rated capacity of 38.5 million gross tons of iron or! e pellet production. The second iron ore mine that the Company manages and operates in Eastern Canada had an annual rated capacity of 8.0 million gross tons of iron ore concentrate as of December 31, 2011. During the year ended December 31, 2011, the Company produced a total of 31.0 million tons of iron ore pellets at U.S. Iron Ore, including 23.7 million tons for its account and 7.3 million tons on behalf of steel company partners of the mines.
At Eastern Canadian Iron Ore, it produced a total of 6.9 million metric tons of iron ore pellets and concentrate during 2011, with concentrate production measured from the date of its acquisition of Consolidated Thompson in 2011. The Company produces various grades of iron ore pellets, including standard, fluxed and high manganese, for use in its customers��blast furnaces as part of the steelmaking process. As of December 31, 2011, it had approximately 1.2 million tons of pellets, respectively, in inventory at lower lakes or customers��facilities. During 2011, the Company sold 24.2 million tons of iron ore pellets, respectively, from its share of the production from the Company�� U.S. Iron Ore mines. Its Eastern Canadian Iron Ore revenues are derived from sales of iron ore pellets and concentrate to the seaborne market for Asian steel producers. The iron ore pellets produced by Eastern Canadian Iron Ore are sold to various customers. During 2011, the Company sold 7.4 million metric tons of iron ore pellets and concentrate, respectively, from its Eastern Canadian Iron Ore mines.
North American Coal
The Company owns and operates five metallurgical coal mines located in West Virginia and Alabama and one thermal coal mine located in West Virginia that had a rated capacity of 9.4 million tons of production annually in 2011. In 2011, the Company sold a total of 4.2 million tons. North American Coal�� metallurgical coal production is sold to global integrated steel and coke producers in Europe, Latin America and North Am! erica, an! d its thermal coal production is sold to energy companies and distributors in North America and Europe.
Asia Pacific Iron Ore
The Company�� Asia Pacific Iron Ore operations are located in Western Australia and include its wholly owned Koolyanobbing complex and its 50% interest in Cockatoo Island. Production in 2011, was 8.9 million metric tons. These two operations supply a total of three direct-shipping export products to Asia via the global seaborne trade market. Koolyanobbing produces a standard lump and fines product. Cockatoo Island produces a single premium fines product. The lump products are directly fed to blast furnaces, while the fines products are used as sinter feed. Koolyanobbing is a collective term for the operating deposits at Koolyanobbing, Mount Jackson and Windarling. There are approximately 60 miles separating the three mining areas. Cockatoo Island is located off the Kimberley coast of Western Australia, approximately 1,200 miles north of Perth Cockatoo Island produces a single high-grade iron ore product known as Cockatoo Island Premium Fines. During 2011, it sold 8.6 million metric tons of iron ore from its Western Australia mines.
The Company competes with ArcelorMittal Mines Canada, U.S. Steel Canada Inc., Alpha Natural Resources, Inc., Patriot Coal Corporation, CONSOL Energy Inc., Arch Coal, Inc., Walter Energy, Inc., Peabody Energy Corp.
